Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, also known as “CZ” tops the list of the richest crypto billionaires with a net worth estimated at $96 billion.

According to Bloomberg, CZ ranks 11th among the world’s richest people as Binance maintains its position as the largest crypto exchange by trading volume.

CZ, the 44-year-old crypto entrepreneur, has outstripped Asia’s richest billionaire, Mukesh Ambani, despite Bloomberg excluding his personal crypto holdings, such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Binance Coin (BNB) tokens on the exchange.

According to Bloomberg’s estimate, CZ is behind Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, who currently has a net worth of nearly $11 billion. While this was the first time Bloomberg estimated CZ’s fortune, Binance’s growth trajectory suggests it could overtake tech giants like Meta Mark Zuckerberg and Google partners Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

Currently, Zuckerberg, Page and Brin are on the fifth, sixth, and seventh place, respectively, while Tesla CEO Elon Musk tops the list of billionaires with an estimated fortune of $263 billion.

Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView confirm that the price of BNB has increased by more than 1,300% in the past year alone. If BNB can maintain this pace, CZ will become the first crypto entrepreneur to enter the top 10 billionaires list.

Binance’s success can be attributed to CZ’s ongoing efforts to obtain operating licenses across jurisdictions globally. Despite regulatory hurdles, Binance maintains an ongoing partnership and acquisition line to remain a leader in the cryptocurrency trading space.

Recently, a cryptocurrency exchange completed the acquisition of Swipe, a prominent provider of Visa crypto cards operating in more than 70 million locations around the world. Additionally, Binance has also launched a $1 billion initiative to accelerate the development of the Binance smart-chain ecosystem and drive mainstream adoption across the fintech sector.
